Kathryn James Thorn Churchwell , age 88 of Murfreesboro, TN. formerly of Russellville, AL. passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 12-2 PM at Akins Funeral Home Russellville, AL. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Kathryn was a member of Southside Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, D.G. James Sr. and Florence James, husband Tex Churchwell, Two brothers, Four sisters and One great -great grandchild.
She is survived by her daughter Carole Stephens (Claude), son Gary Thorn (Teresa), her grandchildren Ryan Thorn, Amy Turner, Claudia Condrey, and Damon Stephens, Seven great grandchildren and Two great great grandchildren.
