Carr Funeral Home of Guntersville announces services for Josephine C. Bunch at Carr Funeral Home on Tuesday January 10, 2017 at 2pm at Carr Funeral Home Chapel. The family will have a visitation Monday January 9, 2017 from 5-8pm.
Josephine C. Bunch left her earthly life for her eternal home on January 6, 2017 at Marshall Medical Center North. She has been a resident of Merrill Gardens since 2008. She is survived by her beloved grandson, William “Rex” Bunch.
After graduating from Arab High School in 1947 she married Manuel Rex Bunch and they had one son, Danny Rex Bunch, who preceded her in death in 2012. Rex had worked with the army in Huntsville, then transferred over to NASA. They moved to Titusville, Fl. Where Josephine owned an art, paint, and decorating store. Prior to moving to Florida, she worded at the First National Bank of Guntersville for 16 years. They lived in Florida for 26 years.
They were active member of Union Grove Baptist and First Baptist Church in Titusville Fl. He served as a deacon church clerk, and chairperson of House and Grounds for many years. She taught Sunday school and was President of Women’s Missionary Union. She served as church finance clerk at Titusville for many years.
Rex and Josephine were active in retirement at their new lakeside home in Guntersville. They traveled with the Marshall County AARP group on many trips throughout the United States. Their grandson, Bill, always went on the trips and they enjoyed some marvelous sights.
