Jewel Coburn – Obituary

Mrs. Jewel Coburn, 88, of Florence, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Rehabilitation Center, after an extended illness. She was a member of Washington Park Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 6, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Greenview Memorial Chapel with Brother Jason Mackey and Brother Charlie James officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Coburn was preceded in death by her husband, Lois Coburn; parents, George and Emmie Bacon; sisters, Evie Barnes, Willa Crowell; and brothers, G.W., J.H., and Don Bacon.

She is survived by her sons, David Coburn (Kerrie), Danny Coburn (Debbie); daughter, Pat Mackey Cook; brother, Johnny Bacon; sister, Beatrice Hooper; grandchildren, Jason Mackey (Amanda), Brian Mackey, Kendra O’Steen (Craig), Amanda and Donald Williams, Grace Ann Bonds (Mathew), and Rebecca Coburn; and great-grandchildren, Keller, Brylee, Sawyer, and Kyndall Mackey.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Rehabilitation Center, and Dr. Bartmess.
