Robbie Halivee Moses – Obituary

Robbie Halivee Moses, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 30, 2016, at Lakeview Place Assisted Living in Mantachie. She was born July 14, 1930, at home in Itawamba County to Dewey “Tood” and Ripple Adams Russell. She was a member of Oak Hill Methodist Church in Saltillo. She was first employed at Warwick in Zion, Illinois. When she moved back to Mississippi with her husband and children, she worked at Mantachie Manufacturing; but the job she loved the most was as a ward secretary in the SIC Unit at NMMC for 20 years until her retirement around 1993. She enjoyed taking care of others, spending time with her family, and vacationing with her husband in the Smoky Mountains.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 1, 2017, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Henry Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park in Verona.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Jenkins (Henry) of Mantachie; her daughter-in-law, Mary Moses of Saltillo; four grandchildren, Chris Moses (Jodi) of Saltillo, Jennifer Mercer (Greg) of Pontotoc, and Grant Jenkins (Andrea) and Mark Jenkins (Renee), both of Mantachie; nine great-grandchildren, Andrew and CharlotteMoses, Jacob and Natalie Mercer, Mason and Dawson Jenkins, Lindsay Jenkins, SPC Cory Jenkins (Kristen) of Okinawa, Japan, and LCPL Cameron Jenkins of Yuma, Arizona; and one sister, Donna Davis (James) of Fulton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of more than 60 years, Wymon Moses; her son, Jerry Moses; one brother, Bobby Russell; and one sister, Anita Dunaway.

Pallbearers will be Chris Moses, Greg Mercer, Tommy Franks, Jeff Ashcraft, Chris Hicks, and Eddie Leathers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, December 31, at the funeral home
