Mrs. Frances Edgar, 95, of Boaz, Alabama died Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted Living in Albertville.
Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 1, 2017 at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Bro. Tony Gunter and Bro. Ronald Lang will be officiating. Family will receive friends the day of the service from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at funeral home. McRae Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Edgar is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law Ellen Ruth Tinker & Doyce Walker of Boaz, Robyn Edgar Long of Madison, and Sylvia E. & Deland Burks of Arkansas; grandchildren Heather Renee Burks, Audrey Frances Ostrander, Christopher Braden Burks, James Raymond Long, Ronald Gregory Long, and Evan Christopher Long; great-grandchildren Benjamin James Ostrander, Anna Rose Ostrander, Myra Kathryn Ostrander, Sophie AnnMarie Long, Penelope Jane Long, Ruth Elliette Long, and Freya Zink Burks; brother Douglas C. Green of Louisiana; sister Reva “Peaches” June Hallman of Texas. Mrs. Edgar is preceded in death by her husband James D. Edgar; parents Archie N. & Frances Myrl Green; grandson Jason Daniel Walker; son-in-law John R. Long.
Pallbearers will be Larry Walden, Jerry Rowe, Braden Burk, James Long, Ronald Long, and Evan Long.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County or Charity of Choice.
