James Richard “Dickie” Brown – Obituary

James Richard “Dickie” Brown, 58, of Iuka, Mississippi, died December 28, 2016, at his residence. He was a veteran of the National Guard, and was an employee for Caterpillar for 22 years. He enjoyed collecting knives, and loved to fish and camp. He liked working on old trucks, and loved his dog of 15 years, “BB”. He was a friend to everyone and would help anyone in need. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by his daughter, Crystal Brown Collins, and eulogized by Bro. Billy Glover. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include David Bethune, James Weston, Chad Collins, Corey Stricklen, David Price Jones, and Tim Austin. Visitation is scheduled for 10 until 11 AM on Saturday, December 31 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by 1 daughter – Crystal Brown Collins and husband of Corinth, MS; 1 son – Micah Daniel Brown of Iuka; 2 sisters – Teresa Brown Stricklen and family of Tupelo, MS; and Sherry Brown Sims and family of Iuka, MS; his stepmother, Lynda Brown of Iuka; caretaker and mother his son, Jane Brown of Iuka; 2 aunts – Grace Long and family of Iuka and Lisa Brown Parker and family of Cypress Inn, TN; 1 uncle – Bobby Brown and family of Florence, AL; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie Lee and Jean Townsend Brown; his brother, Daniel Brown; his first wife, Janet Cummins, the mother of Crystal B.
