Doris Neal Hunt, 55, of Rogersville, went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at ECM Hospital after an extended illness. She was a member of Words of Truth Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Jerry Marlow officiating. Burial will follow in Rogersville Funeral Home Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Clint Dabbs, Chris Patton, Justin Watkins, Levi Watkins, B.J. McCarley and Hunter Patton.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Charles Neal Watkins. She is survived by her special companion, Kenneth “Bo” Tiller; children, Jason and Jessica Hunt; mother, Elaine Watkins; sisters, Deborah (Mike) Dabbs and Linda Sinyard; brother, Greg (Arleen) Watkins; grandson, Damien Lee Fowlkes; and several nieces and nephews.
She was retired from Joe Wheeler State Park after many years of service. She was a loving mama to her children, a devoted “Nana” to her grandson, Damien, and a loving sister, daughter and friend to many. Doris was a courageous woman who was an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
