Carolyn Jordan was born April 23, 1941 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late William Rayford Russom and Beulah Ingle Russom. She was united in marriage to John A. Jordan on February 28, 1958. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Jordan departed this life on December 18, 2016 in Jackson, TN at the age of 75 Years, 7 Months, 25 Days. She was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, fishing, gardening, and caring for her flowers. Carolyn was an accomplished artist and a member of the Art Guild in Savannah, TN.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John A. Jordan of Bethel Springs, TN; two daughters, Audrey Jordan Butler and husband Lance B. Butler of Lexington, KY, Anita Jordan of Bethel Springs, TN; two sons, Ashley D. Jordan and wife Caren of Frog Jump, TN, and Anthony Jordan and wife Chris of Bethel Springs; nine grandchildren, Rickey Jordan, Jessica Mao, Kim Jordan, Chelsea Butler Isaac, Zach Butler, Ethan Wilson, Mary Grace Wilson, Anna Jordan, Rachel Jordan; eight great grandchildren, Joseph Turnbow, Alyssa Jordan, Nick Mao, Sophia Mao, Brennon Mao, Cristian Jordan, Annalyse Jordan, Abram Isaac; two sisters, Martha Greene of Lexington, TN, Betty Smith of Selmer, TN; a brother, Danny Russom of Selmer, TN; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Jordan was preceded in death by three sisters, Minnie Michael, Eddie Lou Goodrum, Jane Hornbuckle; a brother, Wayborn Russom.
