NORTH ALABAMA REGIONAL AIRPORT – Airport Director, Barry Griffith notified the Quad-Cities Daily of a new flight schedule for regional carrier, Boutique Air. The airline has been growing in popularity in Northwest Alabama with daily flights to and from Nashville and Atlanta. The new schedule, which starts January 3rd, adds an additional daily flight to Atlanta. Griffith said, “We feel confident that the additional flight to ATL (Atlanta-Hartsfield airport) will be very popular with the business community.  We also anticipate that this will increase our boardings which will help keep MSL (North Alabama Regional Airport) in compliance with the EAS (FAA’s Essential Air Service) regulations (10 Enplanements per day / under $200 cap per passenger). Boutique Air is a great partner to have in the Shoals area, and they are making smart business decisions as a company.   EAS Officials have been very impressed with BTQ operational growth, and they are continuing to pick up new contracts for other domestic routes across the country.”
