ATHENS-The annual Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park Christmas Tree Lighting provided gifts, including several bicycle give-aways, to children on December 6.
ATHENS-The annual Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park Christmas Tree Lighting provided gifts, including several bicycle give-aways, to children on December 6.Santa arrived by fire truck. Athens Fire and Rescue serves as his official transport for visits in Athens. Santa was so thrilled to see all the happy children that he sang and danced on a picnic table. Athens City Councilman Frank Travis said, “I think Santa is ready for ‘Dancing with the Stars.'”
The event is supported by the Lincoln-Bridgeforth Park Committee, Athens Parks and Recreation, Athens Fire and Rescue and various businesses and individuals in the community.
