These singers are dedicated to bringing the high quality choral music literature to listeners in the Shoals and northern Alabama. This group of 25-28 auditioned members is made up of men and women who are trained in singing multi-voiced and multi-lingual music. The choir performs an eclectic array of literature extending back to the Renaissance and through the most contemporary idioms. Although the group sings literature from all periods their tendency is music from the American tradition.

The Shoals Chamber Singers began in 1987 with founding conductor, Kevin Robison, and continues to share their music with the community in performing concerts at local area churches along with singing at other venues. The Singers’ focus is the enrichment of the human spirit and the fellowship of community through performing great choral art.

Since the group’s inception the Singers have presented concerts each year in the Shoals area. Most of the group’s concerts are held in Florence, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, or Tuscumbia, Alabama. The Singers have presented concerts in Huntsville, Hartselle, and Montgomery. They have made many appearances at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. The Chamber Singers have also been heard on Alabama Public Radio, at the Alabama Renaissance Faire in Florence, and at the state convention of the Alabama Federation of Music Clubs.
