John Lewis Rea, 82, Phil Campbell, passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Helen Keller Hospital.
The visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. James Mann. Burial will be at Spruce Pine Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, John Keith Rea (fiancé, Norma), Walter Daniel Rea, Robert “Robbie” Lewis Rea (wife, Lisa), James Elkins, Maeshell Bray, Mellissia Maroquinn (husband, Ever); grandchildren, Megan Danielle Rea, Olyvia Grace Rea, Sophie Caroline Rea, Hope Lashay Bray, Zena Alfaro, Anthony Maroquinn, Issiac Maroquinn, Elizebeth Vandenbrink, Robert Lewis, Sr., Andrew Rea, Emily Grace Michelle Elkins, William Elkins; great-grandchildren, Mallorie Vandenbrink, Annabelle Vandenbrink; former daughter-in-laws, Stacey Fisher, Kathy McCurry; 2 nephews, James Mann, William Mann; and many other friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father, Whit Lewis Rea; mother, Carrie Lou Rea; daughter, Amanda Jane Rea; son, Shane Marshall Rea.
The pallbearers will be James Elkins, D.J. Riddle, Brian Isom, Heath Fredrick, Marty Fisher, and Ever Maroquinn. The honorary pallbearers will be Charles Sherrwood and Thomas Hallman.
