Basil Ray Byrd, age 59, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Alive Hospice at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was a native of Louisville, KY, a welder, and of the Christian faith.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2012. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2012 with Charlie Cook officiating. Interment will follow at Houser Cemetery.
His parents were the late Paul Alvin Byrd and Mary Lou Tidwell Bailey. He was also preceded in death by one son Nathaniel Byrd, one brother Paul Jr. Byrd, and two sisters Sue Boswell and Reba Matherly.
