Perry Wallace Pruett, Jr. – Obituary

Perry Wallace Pruett, Jr., 83, of Madison, Alabama, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 20, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family. Perry was born on May 15, 1933 in Marengo County, Alabama to Sitha Ruth Luker Pruett and Perry Wallace Pruett, Sr. He married Martha Virginia Norris on December 24, 1954.

He was a dedicated Christian and member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He served in United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and then went on to work at Capital Airlines later United Airlines for 36 years. Perry volunteered with Hospice Family Care as a barber for many years. He was a sweet and loving husband and father.

Perry is survived by his wife Martha; three daughters: Kaye (Jim) Gokee, Vicki (David) Huff and Alicia (Chuck) Woodward; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and sister, Leeda Pruett Walker.

Services will be held Sunday at Mount Zion Baptist Church with visitation from 1-3pm. Chapel service will be held with Pastor Ron Madison at 3pm and burial will follow at Mount Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
