Limestone County bands celebrate 50 Years with Night of the Bands performance

ATHENS – The Limestone County Bands are taking over East Limestone High School’s Cavnerunnamed
Stadium on October 25 beginning at 6 p.m. to perform their 2016 award-winning half-time
shows for the community. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from a Limestone County band
student or at The Village Pizza on East Limestone Road. Night of the Bands is presented by Chick
Fil-A of Athens. Ardmore, Clements, East Limestone, Elkmont, Tanner and West Limestone High
Schools are performing.
“This is a chance for our bands, band parents and the community to see all of the local bands
perform in one place,” said Jennifer Janzen, Band Director at East Limestone High School. East
Limestone and Elkmont High School bands are both celebrating their 50th Anniversaries this
year. “We are inviting all Limestone County Band alumni to come and celebrate and be
recognized during Night of the Bands,” said Janzen, “It’s going to be a fun night with great
music!”
