Zula Liles, age 85, of Florence, passed on Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 2 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Brother Henry Melton officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbears will be Jerry Condry, Norman White, Jeremy White, Chris White, Greg Mabe and Jimmy Cox
Mrs. Liles was preceded by her sisters, Beatrica Harrison and Jeanette Balentine.
She was survived by one daughter, Bonnie Jenkins and husband, Bobby; two grandchildren, Jeff Jenkins and wife, Tricia, and Chad Jenkins and wife, Maggie; one great-grandson, Ben Jenkins; three brothers, Turner White and wife, Corine, Jack White and wife, Sharon, William White and wife, Brenda; three sisters, Irene Lard, Mable Morris and Fay Duha; several nieces and nephews.
Zula was an avid lover of animals. She enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. The family would like to thank Dr. McFall, Dr. Webb and Hospice of the Shoals, as well as her special caregivers, Paulette Deboise and Elaine Balentine and her special friend Frances Risner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lauderdale County Animal Shelter.
