MUSCLE SHOALS – Northwest Shoals Community College and the Shoals Chamber of Commerce held their annual BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. It’s a hugely popular event, just like a football game with cheering crowds, cheerleaders, music and heavy competition.

The teams form 22 area schools brought their robots to the stadium floor to compete in different robotic-specific challenges. The BEST Award went to Brooks High School. This team, along with Moulton Middle/Lawrence High, Covenant Christian, Lauderdale County, and Creekside Academy will now advance to the South’s BEST Regional Championships in December at Auburn.

The Quad-Cities Daily was on hand to record some of the day in EVENT PHOTOS. We present them here.
