Mr. L.V. Robinson – Obituary

Mr. L.V. Robinson, 69, of Town Creek died Tuesday, July 24th. at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield.  His funeral will be Monday, July 30, 2012 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy White  officiating.  Burial will follow in Red Bank Church Cemetery.  He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

L.V. was born on June 29, 1943 to the late Willie Sue White and the late L.V. Roberson.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ruthie Ford Robinson, his mother; Willie Sue White, his father; L.V. Roberson and a brother; Frankie James Williams.

L.V. accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined the Red Bank M.B. Church where he served as a faithful member of the deacon board, trustee and member of the male chorus.  L.V. was also a member of the Eastern Star Hampton Chapter #528 and the Masonic Lodge.  He loved the Red Bank community where he served as a volunteer fireman with the Red Bank Volunteer Fire Department.

L.V. leaves to cherish his memory two daughters; Angela Benita Robinson, Town Creek, AL and Erica (Anthony) James, Madison, AL., one son; Reginald Robinson, Nashville, TN., one brother; Jackie Robinson, OH, eight sisters; Lizzie Roberson, Forest Hills, NY, Maggie Mitchell, Brooklyn, NY, Rosa Luster, Glenda Ford, Barbara Downton, Gloria Moore, Elaine Watkins and Mary Owens all of OH, four grandchildren; Tyson and Aubrion James, Madison, AL., Linda Robinson, Memphis, TN. and Casey Robinson, Moreno Valley, CA, six brothers-in-law; Charles and Edward Ford, Billy (Doris) Ford, Wayne (Larita) Ford, Venard Ford and Davie Ford, seven sisters-in-law; Mattie Williams, Willie (Tracy) Hogan, Cecelia Neloms, Edna (Percy) Bowens, Mollie (Brenton) Mitchell, Sharon and Carolyn Ford and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
