Jack Rogers III slipped into eternity on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer.
His family will receive friends Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, from noon until 2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home Tuscumbia. His funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with George Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Jackie was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ and was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Kathleen Walters Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Rojean Rogers; sons, Ashley Rogers (April) and Michael Rogers (Lisa); brother, Tommy Rogers (Teresa); and grandchildren, Myles and Natalie Rogers and Sara-Jennifer Wiginton.
Pallbearers are Ashley Rogers, Jimmy Malone, Neal Rogers, Joe Willis, Jeff Henson, and Justin Thorne.
Honorary pallbearers are Allen Morgan, Danny Henson, Bill West, and Robert Graham.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Therese Lango, Dr. Lynn Ridgeway, Dr. Richard Deal, and the staff at Clearview Cancer Institute.
