FLORENCE-On Friday, September 23 Florence Police Officers were called to a burglary in progress in the 1800 block of Tannehill a suspect was arrested and charged.  Florence Police release a statement after further investigation stating two additional burglaries have been associated with the suspect arrested in the September 23 burglary:

“Brady Sanchez was charged with two additional burglaries late yesterday following the execution of a search warrant by Lead Detective Zach Maxwell on the vehicle Sanchez was seen driving prior to the Tannehill burglary on Friday.

The additional burglaries occurred Friday morning in East Florence. Also, in a unique turn of events, it has been found that Sanchez’s actual name is Kenny P. Vega, 5/9/84. This revelation comes after speaking with detectives from Nashville Metro Police Department who were able to positively identify Sanchez as Vega.

Vega has multiple felony warrants in Tennessee for burglary. We will be meeting with the District Attorney’s Office today and anticipate obstruction charges being filed against Vega for the use of a false identity to avoid capture on the outstanding warrants.

Additional charges are also pending with the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office for burglaries in their jurisdiction.

We are fortunate in this case to have located property and evidence linking the suspect to the crimes and are proud to be able to return stolen memories back to their rightful owners.

This investigation remains open and evolving.”
