John J. Breeding, 90, of Decatur died Sept. 25, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. His funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Brother A. Ray Lee will be officiating.
Mr. Breeding was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mary Breeding. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Peggy Breeding; daughter, Johni Jaye Hammon (Bill); grandchildren, John Britton Richey (Diana) and Heather Marie Wilson; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey and Chelsea Richey, Sara, Anna and Will Hammon, Gena and Jack Abrials.
Mr. Breeding served his country during World War II. He retired from Wolverine, loved gardening, and his family. He was also a big Alabama fan. ROLL TIDE!!
Pallbearers include Rick Nelson, Joe Peete, John Richey, Tyler Richey, Steve Garner and Preston Peete.
