MADISON-Friday, September 24 the Madison Police Department released a statement enlisting the help of public in locating a suspect in a bank robbery:
“On Friday September 23, 2016 at 3:10 p.m. the Madison Police Department received a Robbery in progress call from Eva Bank, located at 3810 Sullivan Street Madison, Alabama.
Employees reported a Hispanic male with a handgun entered the bank and demanded money. He then fled with an undetermined amount of cash. Officers and detectives responded and begin canvassing the area and local business for investigative information. Detectives and officers located video surveillance from the business and identified 18-year-old Jose Guadalupe Pena of Huntsville as a suspect. Detectives attempted to locate Mr. Pena for questioning, but were unsuccessful.
Mr. Jose Guadalupe Pena should be considered armed and dangerous. Any and all information on his whereabouts should be relayed to the Madison Police Department Investigative Division at (256) 772-6274.”
