Mrs. Sylvia Jane Snead, age 68, of Fairview Cove Road, Altoona, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at her residence.
Service will be held at noon on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016 at Fairview FCM Church with interment in the Aurora Cemetery in Boaz. Bro. Eric Snead, Bro. Frank Umphrey, Bro. Joe Walker and Bro. Gary Umphrey will be officiating. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. McRae Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Snead was born in Etowah County, Alabama on November 30, 1947 to Julius Willard and Ruby Irene Hollis Stanley. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and homemaker.
Mrs. Snead is survived her husband: Lane Snead of Altoona, Sons & Daughters-in-law: Danny & Jennifer Golden, Jason & Anita Golden and Eric & Monica Snead all of Altoona, 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, Brother & Sister-in-Law: J. W. “Sonny” & Jenny Stanley of Altoona and Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a Daughter: Tammy Renea Golden.
Pallbearers will be Zack Snead, Tyler Golden, Larry Steele, Leon Parrish, Keith Cannon and Jerry Stanley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Eli Golden and Ryder Snead.
