THE SHOALS-The Swampette tour of area music venues will be Saturday, September 3, and is scheduled from 1-5 p.m. It will showcase the musical stylings of Justus Montgomery & TJ Bender, from
12 pm to 1 pm. This popular tour offers stops at FAME Studios, 3614 Jackson Highway and the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Led by Judy Hood (wife of the Swampers’ bass player David Hood), the tour travels to each venue aboard the “Trolley of Tunes.” Tour cost is $35 per person.
Florence/Lauderdale Tourism will once again provide musical entertainment before its popular Swampette music tour on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Starting at noon, local artists Montgomery and Bender, singer/songwriters who are pursuing their Music Business degrees at the University of North Alabama, will be performing original songs and cover tunes in the Gallery at the Florence/Lauderdale Visitor Center. The mini-concert is free and open to the public.
