TUSCUMBIA – It was Shoals Music Legend Edsel Holden’s turn to be honored at the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Sunday afternoon Holden was presented with a Bronze Star of the Walk of Fame.
On hand were many members of his family and a couple of hundred well-wishers and fans.
Speakers at the event were:  Dixie Griffin Director of Hall of Fame, Judy Hood, board member of the Hall of Fame, Dr. Lloyd Jones  Director of Bands at UNA, Peggy Clay, and Inductee  Donnie Fritts,
After the star was unveiled, everybody enjoyed refreshments and great music from Buddy Thompson and Friends.  And lastly there was an unexpected treat… Edsel stepped up to the mic and sang with the band!
