Larry Gene Martin age 71 passed away Wednesday afternoon July 27, 2016 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born March 19, 1945 in the Center Point Community of Chester County, the son of the late Lynn Duncan and Lucy Elizabeth Galbraith Martin. He went to school in the Center Point Community. He married Shirley Ann Teague from Scotts Hill in 1971. They made their home in the Center Point Community since that time. He liked reading books and old farming equipment. He was always mowing his yard and kept everything looking good. He was a member of the Center Point Holiness Church.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of forty five years, Shirley Ann Teague Martin.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lynda Bailey in 2005.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 30, 2016 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Darren Martin and Bro. Don Funderburk officiating. Burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Friday and beginning at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning until service time 2:00 PM Saturday.
