Madison County Lake Temporarily Closed July 18

MADISON-Madison County Public Fishing Lake will be temporarily closed beginning July 18, 2016. The temporary closure is due to a transition in lake management.

The current lake manager, Allen Smallwood, is resigning this summer. He will be replaced by Julie Parker of Sulligent, Ala. At this time, no date has been set to reopen the lake. The Alabama Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries (WFF) anticipates the lake will reopen in the near future.
