Charles Earl Palmer, age 78, passed away June 22, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday, June 25, from 1-3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Mr. Palmer was retired from Reynolds Metals Company. He was a carpenter and enjoyed gardening, hunting, making bird houses, and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry W. and Lila Palmer; brother, Johnny Palmer; grandchildren, Kenya L. Clemmons, Kaylee Crosslin, and Austin Greer; and son-in-law, Kyle Clemmons.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean Palmer; children, Chene Palmer, Laura Clemmons, Gina Moore (Bobby), Kim Crosslin (Sammy), and Tracy Greer (Robert); grandchildren, Chelsy Palmer, Andrea Clemmons, Curtis Clemmons, Ashley Fisher (Eli), Tyler Moore, Cody Crosslin (Delana), Jacob Greer, and Nathaniel Greer; great-grandchildren, Adelyn Fisher, Jaxon Fisher, McKenna Crosslin, and Kennedy Crosslin; siblings, Clarence Palmer, Martha Danner, and Judy Hatchett; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
