Estelle Hudson Lomenick – Obituary

Estelle Hudson Lomenick, 85, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka. Mrs. Lomenick was a member of the Iuka United Methodist Church for over fifty years. She was formerly employed at Genesco Shoe Factory and the office of Dr. John Hora, and later retired as Branch Manager from Iuka Guaranty Bank. She also served as Coordinator of the Tishomingo County Red Cross for twenty years; and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 30, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 31, at the Iuka United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Jon Kaufman, Rev. Joe Reynolds, and Andy Chumley. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Robert Lomenick, Jr., John Travis Lomenick, Van Patrick Lomenick, Blake Thomas Lomenick, Barney E. Hudson, and Danny D. Hudson. Honorary Pallbearers include Jimmy Lomenick, Butch Daugherty, Lane Harris, Chris Lomenick, Jerry Hudson, Neil Hudson, Wayne Hudson, Charlie Cutshall, Brownie Lomenick, Mike McRee, David Nichols, her special caregivers, Goldie Phifer, Peggy Davis, Sue Smith, Linda Copeland, and Anita Bullock, and the staffs of Southern Magnolia Estates in Iuka and Hospice Advantage. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include three sons, Harold Lomenick and wife, Judy, of Iuka, MS, Gary Lomenick and wife, Teresa, of Iuka, MS, and Bob Lomenick and wife, Penny, of Holly Springs, MS; one brother, J. E. Hudson and wife, Mae, of Iuka, MS; eight grandchildren, Brandi Phillips and husband, Jeff, of Guntown, MS, Molly Daerr and husband, Jason, of Houston, TX, Van Lomenick and wife, Robin, and Blake Lomenick, all of Florence, AL, and Robert Lomenick, Jr., John Travis Lomenick, Erin Lomenick, and Eli Lomenick all of Potts Camp, MS; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. “Dickie” Lomenick; five brothers, Earl, Dow, Bert, Bart, and Milton “Jim” Hudson; two sisters, Otha Cutshall and Irene Harris; and three infant siblings.
