DECATUR-The Morgan County Drug Task Force with assistance from ALEA Narcotics Unit executed arrest warrants and arrested 5 suspects on various drug charges:
“On Wednesday, May 25, 2016, Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force, with the assistance of ALEA Narcotics Unit, was executing an arrest warrant on James Dale McCormick, at residence located at 3210 Modaus Rd.,Lot 40, Decatur, Al. Agents made contact with several individuals at the residence, being: Joel Teague (w/m 39), James Dakota McCormick (w/m 23), Dustin Carter (w/m 31), Kelly Miller (w/f 23) and Nancy Kirby (w/f 34). Agents observed drug paraphernalia items and suspected drugs and obtained a search warrant for the residence. Agents seized approximately 20 grams of “ICE” Methamphetamine, numerous drug paraphernalia items (syringes, scales and grinders). Agents also seized marijuana from the residence, as well. Agents located and recovered 2- stolen guns, stolen from the Decatur area. Agents also seized $7,500.00 in US Currency and 2-vehicles. Decatur Police Department was contacted and advised of the stolen guns being recovered.
Joel Teague
Joel Teague (w/m 39) was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute- Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and for the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree. Bond set at $100,600.00.
James Dakota McCormick
James Dakota McCormick (w/m 23) was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with the Intent to Distribute- Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and 2 Counts- Receiving Stolen Property. Bond set at $105,300.00.
Dustin Carter
Dustin Carter (w/m 31) was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute- Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Loitering in a Drug House. Bond set at $100,600.00.
Kelly Miller
Kelly Miller (w/f 23) was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute- Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Bond set at $102,800.00.
Nancy Kirby
Nancy Kirby (w/f 34) was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute- Methamphetamine, Loitering in a Drug House and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Bond set at $102,800.00.
Bonds set by Circuit Court Judge Howell.
Kevin Kent
Agents also executed a search warrant at residence located at 665 New Center Rd. Hartselle, Al. Agents made contact with Kevin Kent (w/m) . Agents located Drug Paraphernalia items within the residence. Kevin Kent was arrested, charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Bond set at: $300.00.”
