Madison Police Arrest Two For Attempted Murder

MADISONThe Madison Police Department released a statement o the shooting that took place o Sunday evening, May 22.  Two have been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder:

“On Sunday, May 22nd at approximately 3:30 AM, Madison Police responded to a fight and shooting in progress at 8995 Madison Blvd at Motel 6. A group of individuals gathered to fight in the parking lot. Two individuals, who were not involved in the fight, came out of their rooms. A number of shots were fired at them and they were subsequently struck by shotgun pellets. One victim was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries while the other was treated on the scene for a minor injury.

Detectives with the Madison Police Department were able to identify suspects involved in the incident.

On May 24, 2016 Madison Police served search warrants on two homes in Madison and recovered the weapons believed to be used in the offense. The two individuals believed to have fired the shots were subsequently arrested. Both were charged with two counts of Attempted Murder and taken to the Madison County Jail. Each has a total bond of $60,000.

Arrested were one adult, 23-year-old, Bernard Montrell Nash of Madison, and one 17-year-old juvenile male from Madison.
