Athens Hosts Blood Drive for former Mayor

ATHENS-It is Paint the Town Purple Week for Relay for Life of Limestone County. As part of the Relay celebration, the City of Athens Relay for Life Team, Dan Williams family and LifeSouth are hosting the blood drive at the new city hall. Williams served as mayor for 18 years and was serving as state representative when he died last year from leukemia.

You are welcome to join us for the blood drive and to see the new City Hall. We will still be setting up offices, but you can see the progress and see where we plan to set up a media staging area in case of an emergency/disaster.
