Under the newly adopted rules, the House Judiciary Committee is in charge of investigating articles of impeachment and is authorized to continue that investigation after the legislative session ends.
According to Representative Ed Henry, R-Hartselle, he has 23 signatures. He says the articles will deal with willful neglect and corruption. Henry drew up the articles following allegations involving Bentley and Rebekah Caldwell Mason, his former senior political adviser.
