]TUSCUMBIA – What turned out to be a prank by some teenage boys had local law enforcement agencies scrambling to a church on Willingham Road. About 8:45 this morning, a groundskeeper at The Family Worship Center nearly ran over a small package near the front entrance. Scrawled on the package was, “Bomb number II”.

A call went out to 911, and before long officers from the Tuscumbia Police, Florence Bomb Squad, UNA’s bomb sniffing dog unit, and other emergency responders were on scene.

What they found were 5 nine-volt batteries wrapped up in white tape. It was nothing more than a poorly thought-out prank by 2 junior high school age boys.

One of the unidentified boys was brought to the scene by family members to speak with investigators. The other youngster has not yet been seen by authorities as of this writing. Possible charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
