Funeral services for J.C. Murphy, 85, of Olive Hill, TN are set for 2 PM Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Olive Hill, TN officiated by Bro. Kyle Wishert with burial in the Murphy Family Cemetery. Visitation will be be Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 12 noon until service time on Sunday at Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church. Born March 8, 1931 in Wayne County, TN he was of the Baptist faith and was a bus driver for the Hardin County School District for 35 years.
Mr. Murphy is survived by his son: James Murphy (June) of Olive Hill, TN; daughter: Jennifer Murphy (Daron) of Olive Hill, TN; ten grandchildren, Tasha Martin, Daniel Murphy (Crystal), Jessica Murphy, Casey Martin, Bryson Murphy, Ethan Murphy, Peyton Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Samantha Murphy and Dustin Murphy; six great grandchildren, Jayden Adams, Alijah Murphy, Brantley Murphy, Joshua Murphy, Carter Murphy and Dawson Murphy; sisters, Shirley Mae Brown (Jerry) of Olive Hill, TN., Mary Moore (Dewey) of Adamsville, TN., Bobbie Sue Franks (Bob) of Savannah, TN., Sally B. McLin (Randy) of Olive Hill, TN.; sisters-in-law, LeVeda Murphy and Vestie Murphy both of Collinwood, TN; “PAW” to many foster children; other relatives and a host of friends. Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years: Mary Lorine Murphy; father, Seaborn Murphy; mother, Sally Kathleen Brown Murphy; brothers, Junior Murphy and G. W. Murphy and sister, Dorothy Jean Murphy.
