SHEFFIELD – Swampette Judy Hood (What? You don’t know what “Swampette” means? Probably are a Millennial…) conducted the first tour of the year of the epic Muscle Shoals studios this past weekend. And this year is “The Year” to tour these historic venues of Rock, Soul, Funk, and Rhythm & Blues…
Some lucky folks on Saturday’s tour, in addition to seeing the world-renowned FAME Studios, were the first to see the almost-finished restoration of 3614 Jackson Highway, home of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studios.
Come Summer, 3614 will be finished with state-of-the-art analog and digital recording equipment. And according to some studio insiders, the list of recording artists who plan to go there to re-live those glory days in some old time rock ‘n roll, is quite impressive.
