George Lindsey UNA Film Festival Kicks Off March 3

georgelindseyfilmfestFLORENCE-The 19th Annual George Lindsey UNA Film Festival begins tomorrow, March 3, with 3:30 screenings at The Mane Room. Screenings will continue through Saturday at 4 pm. The independent films selected for screening at this year’s festival will be represented by a record number of visiting filmmakers from across the globe, who will be on hand to discuss their work. The festival will also be screening a record number of Alabama Films, including films by two UNA students and three Florence High School students.
In addition to the screenings, there are other opportunities to get the full film festival experience. The annual Kick-off Party is at 6 pm tomorrow (Thursday, March 3) at 116 Mobile, and the Awards Show is Saturday at 6:30pm. The Awards show is the only ticketed event. General Admission tickets are $10, and UNA Students are free. Tickets are available at the Follett University Bookstore and at the door.
