James-Jim-Davis-1454966498James H. “Jim” Davis, age, 60 of Arab died Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mr. Davis was born on April 25, 1955 in Tennessee, the son of Morris Huston Davis and Thelma Daughette Davis. He and his wife of 38 years, Kathy Franklin Davis had lived in Arab for the past 35 years. He was a graduate of Brewer High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Athens State University. He was employed by Redstone Arsenal.
Mr. David was a member of the Valhermoso Springs Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife: Kathy Franklin Davis; daughters: Shea Oden (Chris) and Brandie Green; grandchildren: Cody Oden, Baylee Green and Rylee Green; brothers: Tim Davis (Jennifer) and Jackie Davis (Cheryl); sister: Regina Nayman (Greg); stepfather: Willie Ragan and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Morris Houston Davis and Thelma Davis Ragan.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday – February 10, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Patrick and Rev Gerald Case, officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Gary Thompson, Eddie Lones, Charles Madewell, Victor Lemmond, Max Malone and Bud Hopkins.
Honorary Pallbearers will be LTC Rob Sleasman, Gary Lawson, Roger Campbell and Ashley Belue.
Visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 Tuesday – February 9, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
