winter weather advisoryTENNESSEE VALLEY-The Tennessee Valley is bracing for the first winter storm of the season.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 AM to Noon on Wednesday. Precipitation will overspread the region from west to east starting as snow or sleet…transitioning to all sleet…then freezing rain and eventually to all rain by the early afternoon hours.

Ice accumulations of a trace to 1/10th of an inch along with 1/2 inch to 1 inch of snow and sleet accumulations are possible. Even though these are county based advisories, if you are on the border of a county with an advisory, similar accumulations may occur. Outside of the advisory, counties may see patchy areas of light ice, snow and sleet accumulations.”
