Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area Names New Executive Director

TUPELO-The Natchez Trace Parkway joined  park partner, the Mississippi Hills National Heritage Area, in the announcement of the new Executive Director of the Mississippi Hills Heritage Area Alliance, Mary Cates Williams.

National Heritage Areas are designated by Congress as places where natural, cultural, and historic resources combine to form a cohesive, nationally important landscape. The 30-county MS Hills NHA boasts a major contribution to arts, featuring the legacies of Elvis Presley, William Faulkner, Tennessee Williams, Howlin’ Wolf, John Grisham and Tammy Wynette.
