Sheriff Williamson was advised by Colbert County EMA of the possibility of severe or inclement weather for our county over this weekend. There is a cold front moving through this area Saturday night. Ahead of this cold front, during the afternoon Saturday will be the possibility of a line of severe storms with hail and high winds. Then as the cold front passes through, any lingering rain could transition into a light rain/snow mix during the night Saturday night into early Sunday morning. This is a developing system which could change or possibly even dissipate but we do advise that everyone stay alert and monitor your local weather this weekend.”
