Mr. Robert Lynn Salter, 57, of Florence, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012. He was a member of the North Wood United Methodist Church, a technician for J.C. Hamm and Sons Heating and Cooling, a U.S. Marine veteran, graduated as a Second Lieutenant in the ROTC, and he graduated from UNA. Robert was a devoted and loving father. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 9 – 11 a.m. at North Wood United Methodist Church with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick Gunn and the Rev. Steve Reding. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Salter was preceded in death by his father, Willie J. Salter.
He is survived by his sons, Nick and Samuel Salter; daughter, Donisha Lapin; mother, Estelle Salter; brother, Ronald Salter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Active pallbearers will be Bobby Rickard, Jerry Jones, Danny Mock, David Rodriguez, Jamiel Saliba, Wayne Hines, Keith McBrayer, and Jim Parnell.
Honorary pallbearers will be all the employees of J.C. Hamm and Sons, Vance Persall, Glen Shelton, Mike Faulkner, Bill Ray, Tyler Aaron, and Mike Roberts
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to North Wood United Methodist Church.
