Hurley Dennis Cheatham, Jr. – Obituary

Hurley Dennis Cheatham, Jr., age 59, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012. Visitation will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with Brett Pittman officiating. The burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.

Mr. Cheatham was a native of Decatur, Al. He worked as a pipefitter through Local 760. His favorite things in life were deer hunting, fishing, his pets and most of all his wife and daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hurley D. Cheatham, Sr. and Argie Cheatham.

He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Stone Cheatham; daughter, Whitney Lynn Cheatham; brother, John Robert Cheatham; sister, Carolyne Jane Cheatham; and father-in-law and special friend, Bob Stone. He also leaves behind his two beloved pets, Oreo and Nikki.

Pallbearers include Ricky Richardson, Randy Gist, Bo Howard, Terry Dawson, Jeff Moon, Larry Reid, and Mike Vinson.

The family expresses a special thank you to the Hospice of Tennessee Valley.
