Amber Lynn Buckley Lyons, age 50, of Florence, passed from this life Thursday, Nov.19, 2015 at home surrounded by her family. Visitation was Saturday, November 21st from 6-9 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will be today, November 22, at 2 p.m. at the Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ with Brother Kenny Barfield and Brother Raymond Voigt officiating. Burial will follow the service at Tri-CitiesMemorialGardens.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Buckley, Barry Buckley, Carey Grant, John Simpson, Matt Wuerdeman and Evan Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Tomaszewski, Jim Spore and John Wuerdeman.
Amber was a faithful member of the Sherrod Avenue Church of Christ where she was a beloved Sunday school teacher and an avid supporter of the youth program. She was a fitness enthusiast and a regular member of body pump class at the Courthouse Racquet Club. She was a 1983 graduate of Chester County High School in Henderson, Tenn. She attended Freed Hardeman University and later graduated from Northwest Shoals School of Nursing.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William and Vera Buckley. Survivors include her husband, Bill Lyons of Florence; parents, Dale Buckley and Lora Pearce; sons, Spencer Drake Lyons and Connor Grant Lyons; sisters, Phyllis Leigh Simpson, Cindy Wuerdeman, Vicky Spore and Amy Grant; brothers, Jerry Buckley and Barry Buckley; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill Lyons, Sr. and Matilda Lyons; daughter-in-law, Gina DePrimo Lyons.
