channingChanning Blake Meredith, age 26, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, in Calera. Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, with Reverend Roger Pride, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield, Alabama. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
Channing was a former student of Victory Christian Academy Daycare, Florence, Alabama, Handy Head Start, Florence, Alabama, Muscle Shoals High School Special Needs Class, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, The Learning Center for Developmental Learning, Huntsville, Alabama, and The Mitchell Center, Calera, Alabama. He was a graduate of Linda Nolan Learning Center, Pelham, Alabama. He attended Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, Alabama during his residency in the Shoals area.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charlie Frances Brooks, Roland Hill, and Annie Washington, and great-grandparents, Emma Meredith, Amelia Boynton Robinson, and William (Mary) Hill.
He leaves to cherish his memories a very loving and devoted mother, Aimee Meredith, Calera, Alabama; father, Rodney Brown, Austin, Texas; two brothers, Caeden Pollard, Calera, Alabama, and Renardus Brown, Quincy, Florida; grandfather, Bruce C. Boynton (Betty), Selma, Alabama; one uncle, Mark (Lillie) Simmons, Deatsville, Alabama; six aunts, Carver Boynton, Gadsden, Alabama, Jacqueline Simmons, Charlotte, North Carolina, Valerie Simmons, Glen Dale, Maryland, Angela (Thomas) Suggs, Tamekia (Kenneth Graves), and Rhonda Hill, Madison, Alabama; special great-aunts, Mary (Albert) Jarmon, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Carolyn (Willie) West, Florence, Alabama, Gloria Berry, Sheffield, Alabama, and Janice King, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. godmother, Joyce Gunn, Huntsville, Alabama; special friends and devoted caregivers, Curtis (Edna) Stewart, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Frankie Pollard, Birmingham, Alabama, and Myrtis Flowers, Birmingham, Alabama; cousins; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
