John R. Dixon, Jr. : January 22, 1935 – July 7, 2012. Visitation- 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service- 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Dennis Hanvey officiating. Burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Dixon was a native of Lauderdale County, AL, retired from the City of Florence, a United States Navy Veteran, and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: 2 Daughters- Sharon Howells & Husband Billy of Lutts, TN; Janice Krikorian & husband Vaughn of CA; 3 Sisters- Joyce Butler of Florence, AL; Lucille Reynolds of Muscle Shoals, AL; Louise Mullendore of Muscle Shoals, AL; 3 Grandchildren; Several Great Grandchildren; Preceded in death by: Parents- Johnny & Hazel Dixon; 1 Sister- Elizabeth Tidwell
