Mrs. Jeanne Eloise Sorter of Guntersville, formally of Divernon Illinois, passed away on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at Hospice of Marshall County Shepard’s Cove.
She is survived by her Son- David Cummins, Niece Dianne Purdom (Mike) Burnet, Sister-In-Law- Louise Purdon, Grandchild- John McNab, Great- Grandchildren – Ian and Browwen, and Companion- Buford Smith.
She is preceded in death by her Husband- Charles R. Sorter, Parents- Charles and Lucille Purdom, and Brother- Harold Purdom.
In lieu of flowers: Donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County Shepard’s Cove or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Mrs. Sorter enjoyed gardening, shopping, and dancing.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday September 12, 2015 at 10:00am at Carr Funeral Home in Guntersville. The visitation will be Friday September 11, 2015 from 4:00pm till 7:00pm at Carr Funeral Home. The burial will be in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
