Stancil “Natee” McGregor – Obituary

Stancil “Natee” McGregor, age 80, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Service will be Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow at Shoals Memorial Gardens. Hershel Quinn will be officiating. Stancil was Pastor for New Pleasant Baptist Church of Spruce Pine for many years, a member of Tuscumbia Valley Baptist Church. He retired from Reynolds after 31 years of loyal service.

Mr. McGregor was preceded in death by parents, Odie and Minnie McGregor; sisters, Betty Kimbrough, Vena-Mae Morton, Dorothy Steele, and Dean Wheeler.

Survivors are wife of 53 years Betty Lenz McGregor; daughters, Lisa McGregor Curtis (Mark), Susan McGregor Gooch (Bobby), Stefanie McGregor (Thomas “Boe” Staggs); brother, Earnest McGregor; sister, Agnes Thornton (Thurlo), Annette Quinn (Hershel); grandchildren, Jennifer Smith (Chad), Nikki Barnett (Chase), Jonathan Gooch (Alyssa), Alyssa Pendergrass, Anna Curtis, and Joshua Gooch; great grandchildren, River, Curt, and Wyatt, a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Gooch, Joshua Gooch, Chase Barnett, Chad Smith, Terry Lenz, and Neil Kimbrough.
