Frank Marlowe – Obituary

frankFrank Marlowe, 68, of Trinity passed away at the Birmingham VA Hospital on August 1, 2015, with all of his loved ones by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Francis Marlowe and Mildred Agnes Vazquez. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Joy Landers Marlowe; a son, Andrew Marlowe (Nicki); a daughter, Chloe Jones (Tyler); a brother, John Marlowe (Mary); four grandchildren, Brandt and Channing Marlowe, and Elizabeth and Ethan Jones; and five nieces and nephews, Morgan, Catherine, Conrad, Clay and Sean.
Frank served his country as a member of the 101st Airborne Paratroopers. He fought in the Vietnam War from 1967-1968 where he received a Purple Heart for valor. He loved to read, deep sea fish, the beach and working on multiple projects at home. His knowledge of computers and prowess as an aviator were admired by all. Most of all he loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren.
Frank was loved and respected by his large family and everyone whose lives he touched. Well known for his generosity of spirit, gifted intelligence, and constant smile, he brought a special light to the world that will be missed by so many.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
