Lucille Kelso, 95, of Florence, passed away August 2, 2015 at Glenwood Health Care Center. She was a member of Canaan Methodist Church.

Lucille was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she let you know that she loved you. She was always thinking about others before herself. She enjoyed cooking for her family and kept her family together around delicious family meals. She enjoyed her work with the church, communicating needs of the membership, and organizing various church functions. It was a true blessing for our family to have her for almost 96 years and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 11:30 – 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. E.M. Shell officiating. Burial will follow in Walston Cemetery.

Mrs. Kelso was preceded in death by her husband, Leon B. Kelso; daughter, Louise Kelso; grandson, Mark Kelso; parents, Homer and Bessie Gasque,; sisters, Virginia Berryman, Geraldine Isbell, Clara Rogers; son-in-law, Bill Graham.

She is survived by her sons, Benny Kelso (Ann), Jerry Kelsoe (Jimmie); daughters, Martha Graham, Kathy Chaffin (Kenneth), Nancy Forsythe (Mark), Mary Patrick (Clint); fifteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
